Program " Building a Europe for and with children" includes eliminating any kind of sexual assault against children using the specific legal instruments and activities, that will raise the awareness of this problem. Within the program, The Council of Europe started the Campaign "Stop Sexual Violence Against Children" in Rome on 29 November 2010.
The main goal of the Campaign to achieve further signature, ratification and implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.
Another goal is to equip children, their families/carers and societies at large with the knowledge and tools to prevent and report sexual violence against children, thereby raising awareness of its extent.
The Council of Europe wants to strenghten governments, members of parliaments, professionals, civil society, parents and children. The Council of Europe has enabled them to take an action and stop the sexual assault against children .
Ministry of Families Veterans' affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity lead the Campaign in Republic of Croatia. The Association of Parents "Step by Step" contributes to the Campaign. The Association offers many activities through the CAP (Child Assault Prevention) prevention program.
